Pawternity vs. Paternity: A Slap in the Face to Fatherhood

Believe it or not, their is pawternity leave in our world today, even when paternity leave exists in the dark ages. As a father, I consider the idea of pawternity a slap in the face to fatherhood, and a poorly written joke. Shouldn’t America, along with its companies, focus on embracing a model that promotes, encourages, and allows strong families, allows fathers to be fathers? Perhaps it is time I get a dog and start reaping the benefits of this privilege.  Or maybe we need to start respecting the dignity and importance of actual human fathers every where, instead of making the idea of them a monstrosity of a joke.
